Founder and Biologist Naturopath Dalila B. obtained her PhD in Biology in Paris in 1999 and she is a Doctor in Biology on a mission. She founded Dalila C BioCosmetics to address concerns about aging skin. Although it remains relatively unknown here, Prickly Pear Seed oil is being talked about in Europe and Asia.

Its high concentration of Omega 6, 9 and Tocopherols (vitamin E) – means it would be 10 times richer than Argan oil, Chennafi says- the oil is dreamy because it’s rich in antioxidants with regenerating, anti-aging and moisturizing properties. “This oil is a true beauty elixir, it’s as rare as gold! It takes a ton of Prickly Pears to get a liter of oil” explains the woman who remembers seeing her grandmother and other women picking fruit near a river in the suburbs of Algiers when she was a child.

In the lab, she has managed to create powerful, Anti-Aging formulas by coupling her star ingredient with other effective ingredients therefore making her company one of the first in the world to offer what she describes as an intricate formula. Four main, active ingredients are combined to create a “synergy”: Prickly Pear Seed oil combined with vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and a complex of botanic relaxant. Green tea is then added which is also an antioxidant. “Our formulas are highly optimised and allow cell renewal to be activated as well as stimulate collagen and prevent the appearance of fine lines.”
